The Route

The longest, highest route we run.

The Altiplano is one of the highest inhabited plateaus on earth, and this is our longest route by both distance and altitude, built for those who have joined us before and want to go further.

We work alongside Aymara communities on hands-on building projects, the kind of work that leaves a visible mark by the time we leave, not just a donation left behind.

Nights here are famously clear. There is very little light for hundreds of kilometres in any direction, and it shows.

The Itinerary

Roughly how it goes.

Day 1–4

La Paz to the plateau

Acclimatise in La Paz before travelling out onto the Altiplano itself.

Day 5–10

Aymara communities

Base ourselves with Aymara host communities, joining hands-on building projects throughout.

Day 11–13

The Andean pass

Trek the high pass itself, the most demanding stretch of any route we run.

Day 14–16

Return to La Paz

Descend back toward La Paz for a final night together before flying home.

The Impact

Built to last long after we leave.

Every trip funds materials and labour for a building project chosen with the community before we arrive, not decided for them.
