What factors influence the cost of Sherpa Rub? The ingredients are the main factors and the process from Earth to Shelf. The location of the ingredients origin is key. The hero ingredients in the Sherpa Rub are Seabuckthorn and Juniper berry which we sourced from high altitude mountain ridges across the Himalayas. The Juniper berry is sourced above ASL 4200m to ASL 4850m along the Thakla Pass above Loboche.

When we source ingredients, it is very important to look at the ingredient sustainability, the process it needs to extract the oil every step from Earth to Shelf is researched in detail.
Why do we build Humanitarian projects?
For Ingredient sustainability is the reason we build Humanitarian projects. By training and educating local indigenous people to look after the land and habitats, how to source, harvest and replant ingredients, thus creating alternative income streams on a sustainable platform that protects both the population and the environment.
Transport
No roads at the source of origin, which means we have to load inredients on to Yak trains and contract Porters to trek for days through the mountains to reach LZ loading zone or trek further to lower altitudes to begin the process of distilling or press extraction. We try to do as much as possible at origin and this is part of the training process for the local indigenous mountain people.
YAK TRAIN
PORTERS
Ingredient sourcing is the key and everything that goes into the process to convert from Earth to Shelf. All the humanitarian projects we build are for life and we support and look after the local indigenous people.
